XM Radio host announces first Southeast Truck Show

XM Radio’s Dale Sommers, also known as “The Truckin’ Bozo,” from Open Road Channel 171 has announced the first “Truckin’ Bozo’s Southeast Truck Show,” scheduled for Sept. 27-29 at the Lousiana State Fairgrounds in Shreveport, located on Interstate 20 at Exits 13 and 16A.

The facility includes acres of parking, free shower and restroom facilities and food services, and is located near several major casinos. Exhibitor space is available at Hirsch Coliseum and the General Exhibits Building, and on the grounds. Free concerts will feature country music veteran Gene Watson, comedian Willie P. Richardson and singers Kasey Lansdale, Carissa Amberly, Judy Ricci and Sgt. Steve Wannamaker as “Elvis.” The concerts will be held at 6:15 p.m. Thursday and Friday after show closing.

CDL holders will be admitted at no charge; all other persons may purchase a three-day pass for the event for only $5, and children ages 12 and under will be admitted free. Truck parking will be $10 per day, and RV hookups are $20 per day. Show hours are 1-6 p.m. Sept. 27, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sept. 28 and 29.
