RigMaster Power Corp. and DCL International Inc. will introduce RigMaster’s 2008 model APU, complete with Tier 4a compliant engine and diesel particulate filter (DPF), at this year’s Great American Trucking Show, set for Aug. 23-25 at the Dallas Convention Complex in Texas.

The RigMaster APU, designed to provide climate control and electrical power while allowing the driver to shut down the main engine, now will be even more environmentally friendly, the companies say. The DPF was designed by DCL specifically for RigMaster to lower diesel particulate matter by 90 percent.

Submission for certification was presented to the California Air Resources Board in July, and the companies say the product will be available in time to meet 2008 requirements.

At GATS (www.gatsonline.com), stop by Booth 21135 to see the product firsthand. Staff from both RigMaster (www.rigmasterpower.com) and DCL (www.dcl-inc.com) will be available to answer questions.
