The Museum of Contemporary Art in Washington, D.C., will present “Transportation: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” — an exhibit with paintings, photographs, sculptures and a collection of books relating to the transportation industry — starting Friday, Sept. 7, and running through Saturday, Sept. 29.

The exhibit will feature nearly every mode of transportation, ranging from the invention of the wheel to visions for the future. Many new artists are expected to enter the exhibit, in keeping with the museum’s mission to introduce emerging artists and art forms.

The Museum of Contemporary Art is located at 1054 31st St. N.W. on Canal Square. Information about the exhibit is available at www.mocadc.org or by contacting the museum director, David Quammen, at 202-342-6230.
