USF Holland — an operating unit of YRC Regional Transportation, a subsidiary of YRC Worldwide Inc. — announced Monday, Sept. 10, the launch of its new guaranteed and expedited service offerings, including expedited next-day service up to a 750-mile range and time-specific guaranteed delivery on standard transit times before 9 a.m., noon or 3:30 p.m. All guaranteed and expedited services are backed by USF Holland’s no-hassle, claim-free guarantee to be on time and intact, or no invoice will be sent.
USF Holland says it is the first regional LTL to offer time-specific Guaranteed Delivery before 9 a.m., noon or 3:30 p.m. the next day to many points in its delivery footprint. By offering earlier guaranteed delivery times, customers are able to get shipments into production or for sale to clients the same day it arrives rather than traditional guaranteed delivery by 5 p.m., in which shipments often cannot be incorporated into the supply chain until the following day.
Additionally, while USF Holland previously has offered Expedited Delivery, the new offering expands this service to standardize deliveries of what were two-day moves that now can be delivered in the next business day. Customers can use the transit time calculator on the USF Holland website by entering the origin and destination ZIP codes to see what delivery options are available and determine how fast their shipment can move.
“We are constantly expanding our services to meet the increased demands of our customers and their tightened supply chains,” says John O’Sullivan, president of Holland, Mich.-based USF Holland. “There is a growing need for speed and precision, and USF Holland has the density, consistent manpower, resources and infrastructure in place to offer expedited and guaranteed service at a much lower cost than air freight carriers and dedicated delivery providers. We have aligned the needs of our customers with the capabilities of our system to provide our customers with these necessary expedited and guaranteed services at an affordable price.”
