Linehaul driver turnover 127% for large TL carriers

The American Trucking Associations recently announced that large truckload carriers experienced an average linehaul driver turnover rate of 127 percent during the first quarter of 2007, while small truckload carriers recorded a 102 percent driver turnover rate.

Large truckload carriers are defined as earning more than $30 million in annual revenue, and small truckload carriers are defined as having less than $30 million in annual revenue.

During the same quarter, driver turnover for less-than-truckload carriers averaged 14 percent, ATA announced in the June issue of Trucking Activity Report.
