SkyBitz announces five more customers

SkyBitz, a satellite-based asset tracking and information management service provider, announced the addition of five customers that are deploying its tracking solutions. More than 440 fleets now rely on the cost-effective SkyBitz GLS technology to track in excess of 140,000 trailers.

The following companies recently selected SkyBitz over the competition:

American Wood Fibers, Inc., a leader in the field of specialty forestry products, has installed the SkyBitz GLS 200 tracking technology in nearly 100 trailers in the company’s private fleet. Headquartered in Columbia, Md., American Wood Fibers has plants and distribution centers strategically located near the majority of the nation’s major timber processors from coast-to-coast.

Clark & Reid Company, Inc., headquartered in Billerica, Mass., is one of the largest independent moving companies performing a broad range of offerings, including executive relocation, international relocation, comprehensive storage solutions, VIP services and home delivery services for the country’s highest-end furniture manufacturers. With the installation of SkyBitz technology in approximately 75 trailers, the company has streamlined its shipment tracking mechanisms, increasing visibility to all assets to ensure capacity is realized.

the Express Way Group, the largest specialized trucking company in the Western U.S., operates a fleet of more than 224 tractors and is deploying SkyBitz units in approximately 150 trailers. With facilities in Phoenix and Salt Lake City, the Express Way Group is utilizing the SkyBitz GLS 200 to offer load tracking and trailer spotting capabilities as well as customized route and schedule compliance reporting on all secured or hazardous loads.

H&N Transport, a subsidiary of Madison, Wis.-based agribusiness Hartung Brothers Inc., owns and maintains more than 100 trailers that are each being outfitted with SkyBitz GLS 200 mobile tracking units. The H&N Transport fleet hauls a wide variety of agricultural products quickly and cost-effectively to food processors and customers throughout its service area.

R.E. Barnett & Sons Trucking has successfully grown from a one-truck operation to a long-haul carrier with more than 150 trailers through its ongoing dedication to meeting the needs of shippers. With offices in Tucson and Hebron, Ky., Barnett & Sons Trucking is using the SkyBitz technology to track its assets throughout the 48 continental states.
