Ryder System Inc. recently announced that Eagle Steel Products, a 25-year-old strip steel processing company, has renewed a transportation contract with Ryder to provide Dedicated Contract Carriage services.

“Our partnership with Ryder continues to expand as a direct result of our enhanced performance capabilities and quality service we deliver to our customers,” says Charles Moore, president of Jeffersonville, Ind.-based Eagle Steel Products. “We have confidence in Ryder’s transportation and logistics capabilities.”

Under the renewed six-year contract, Ryder will continue to support Eagle Steel with drivers for its vehicles, fleet management and vehicle maintenance services. The dedicated team of drivers transports steel coils from Eagle’s plant in Jeffersonville, Ind., to its customers’ manufacturing plants in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee. Under a separate contract, Ryder also provides Eagle with a fleet of tractors under a lease solution to support their distribution process. Ryder has been providing transportation and logistics services to Eagle Steel since 1991.

“Ryder is pleased to continue supporting Eagle Steel’s distribution requirements,” says Rosario Rizzo, vice president and general manager of Dedicated Contract Carriage for Miami-based Ryder. “Working together, we look forward to contributing to Eagle’s quality products and commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.”
