Kenworth Truck Co. announced that it will extend a rebate program with Landstar System Inc. through 2008. The program offers a $1,000 rebate on qualifying purchases of new Kenworth sleeper trucks to owner-operators who work with Landstar under exclusive lease arrangements.
Under the program, purchasers negotiate their best deal at the Kenworth dealer of their choice and then send copies of the paperwork to Jacksonville, Fla.-based Landstar. Upon confirmation of eligibility by Landstar, Kenworth will send the $1,000 rebate directly to the purchaser.
Kenworth Class 8 trucks eligible include the T660, T800 and W900 models with 72-inch AeroCab or 86-inch Studio AeroCab sleeper, and the T2000 model with 75-inch Aerodyne sleeper. Other limitations apply on the rebate program.
