West Brother’s names Killius VP/integrated logistics

West Brother’s Transportation Services, a provider of long-term dedicated contract carriage transportation services, has created a new executive position and has named Michael C. Killius as vice president of integrated logistics. Killius will be responsible for driving new business development of dedicated contract carriage services, as well as strategic account management of the West Brother’s portfolio.

“Dedicated contract carriage is a major growth area for us because more businesses than ever are seeing how continuous productivity improvement can be directly linked to more efficient transportation services,” says Douglas J. Ostanek, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Raleigh, N.C.-based West Brother’s. “Mike will help our dedicated clients and prospects smooth out supply line issues by integrating a seamless logistics plan, including dedicated contract carriage.”

Killius has more than 25 years of management experience throughout the logistics industry, including service with Ceva Logistics, Ryder Integrated Logistics and Pacific Intermountain Express. Prior to joining West Brother’s, Killius served as Ceva’s director of business development. He also has earned a number of accolades, including Ryder’s President’s Award in 1998 and Ceva’s Paragon Award for Outstanding Sales Performance in both 2001 and 2006. He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
