CAT Scale Co. announced Thursday, Jan. 17, that it has entered into an agreement with Hargett Enterprises to purchase Interstate Scales from the company. Terms were not disclosed.
Interstate Scales, based in Evansville, Ind., consists of 143 truck scale locations found at truck stops throughout the United States. CAT Scale says it will continue to operate the facilities as Interstate Scales while all scale sites are evaluated.
“We see this as a win-win,” says Delia Moon Meier, senior vice president of Walcott, Iowa-based CAT Scale, which is part of Iowa 80 Group.
