USF Holland and USF Reddaway — operating units of YRC Regional Transportation, a subsidiary of YRC Worldwide Inc. — have announced a general rate increase averaging 5.5 percent covering their USF Accu-Rate base in the United States and Canada.

The increase goes into effect on Feb. 4 and applies to minimum charge, less-than-truckload and truckload rates being used by their current USF Accu-Rate customers. The impact may vary depending on specific lanes and shipment characteristics, such as weight or class, the companies say; comparable adjustments also will be made to the absolute minimum charge, as well as to extended service charges. Customers on frozen or contractual rates will not be impacted directly, according to the companies.

USF Holland is based in Holland, Mich., and USF Reddaway is headquartered in Clackamas, Ore.
