Renewable Energy Group, a biodiesel producer and marketer in the United States, announced Tuesday, Jan. 29, a new program to make biodiesel more available across the nation. The announcement was made at the 2008 National Association for Truckstop Operators (NATSO) Show in Orlando, Fla.

The REG Retail Biodiesel Blending Program includes biodiesel injection equipment paired with a supply agreement for large volumes of high-quality biodiesel. Truckstop operators selling large volumes of diesel fuel can increase their profit margins with the REG Retail Biodiesel Blending Program, according to the company.

“Renewable Energy Group Inc. is proud to offer a supply program paired with a state-of-the-art biodiesel injection system to give truckstops the opportunity to better serve their customers and increase their profit margins,” says Gary Haer, vice president of sales and marketing for Renewable Energy Group.

As part of the supply agreement, Renewable Energy Group plans to remotely monitor biodiesel tank levels in order to offer customers an automated reorder process. The biodiesel injection system equipment is compatible with existing infrastructure and allows truckstop operators to remotely adjust biodiesel blend levels on a daily basis based on local economics and diesel prices, according to Renewable Energy Group.

“We believe the REG Retail Biodiesel Blending Program offers a tremendous incentive for truckstops to adopt a biodiesel blend program while ensuring their customers have access to the highest-quality biodiesel available on the market today,” Haer says.
