Grote Industries has announced the promotion of Matt Forner to director of aftermarket sales. In his new role, Forner will lead the growth of Grote’s U.S. Aftermarket Sales Division, which includes both traditional and heavy-duty sales teams.

“In today’s challenging and ever-changing marketplace, I am confident that Matt’s leadership, performance and innovative customer programs will guide our aftermarket division to new heights,” says Dominic Grote, vice president of sales and marketing of Madison, Ind.-based Grote.

Forner began his career at Grote in 1993 as a heavy-duty field sales manager for Grote’s Illinois, Missouri and Iowa territories. Since then, Forner’s career has been focused on product and sales management in Grote’s aftermarket business arena. His prior positions include aftermarket product manager, director of product development for the aftermarket and his most recent role as traditional division sales manager.

Grote adds that Forner has consistently developed long-term customer relationships due to his commitment, planning and attention to detail. He has shown that he can generate the results that the company’s aftermarket customers expect with a product line like Grote. His forethought and sales leadership has been instrumental in providing growth for Grote’s traditional automotive business.

Forner is one of the youngest members of the Director’s Club, a Grote sales recognition for long-term outstanding performance. His career also includes a number of additional awards and recognitions by Grote and its customers.

“Forner’s genuine salesmanship and ability to engineer customer-focused profitability programs and promotions, demonstrates his commitment to our customers, exemplifying the type of leadership we are looking for in the aftermarket,” Dominic says.
