Cadec Global, a provider of advanced fleet management solutions, and CMV Safety Consulting Inc. have formed a new partnership to help keep Cadec customers abreast of the latest North American safety regulations, such as drivers’ hours of service. Cadec’s fleet management software will incorporate CMV’s regulatory data beginning in the second quarter of this year.

CMV will provide Cadec with ongoing support on trucking industry legislative changes so that Cadec can incorporate new rules as they emerge into its software, to help customers automate enforcement and compliance among their fleets. Cadec says it is the first fleet management vendor to partner with CMV in this capacity. CMV also will offer consulting services to Cadec customers on safety and compliance strategies.

Brian Botham, president of Waterloo, Ontario-based CMV, credits Cadec’s fleet management solutions with making a tremendous positive impact on its customers’ safety and compliance records. “Carriers are actively seeking better ways to both improve fleet efficiency and ensure that they are in compliance with a myriad of complex regulations,” Botham says. “Cadec has done a terrific job helping its customers achieve both goals simultaneously. We’re very pleased to be working with such a forward-looking partner.”

“Cadec has three decades of expertise in fleet management and is widely recognized for its innovation,” says Frank Moreno, vice president of marketing for Manchester, N.H.-based Cadec. “When it came to regulatory compliance, we decided to turn to an expert in that field – CMV safety. We feel confident that by incorporating CMV’s expertise into our software platform, we are providing our customers with the very best information available to help protect the health and safety of their employees and the travelers with whom they share the roads.”
