Shut Down Timer helps prevent dead batteries

Lind Electronics says its Shut Down Timer (SDT) helps prevent overdischarge of batteries in all types of utility, service and emergency vehicles. The device is programmed to turn off electrical loads at a preset time automatically after the vehicle’s ignition is shut off.

Its design eliminates the need to open the case to set and test the timer, significantly reducing installation time, according to the company. Easily accessible switches and terminals and clearly visible LED status lights help enhance installation simplicity. The Lind SDT is made to be set easily with a screwdriver, while a rapid-testing function is designed to enable operators to know immediately that the timer is set and operating properly.
