Karmak Inc. — a provider of computer systems and business management systems in the heavy-duty truck industry — has appointed James R. Costa Sr. to the position of Western area manager. In his new capacity, Costa will manage Karmak’s sales operations and regional managers in the Western United States and Canadian provinces.
Costa comes to Karmak with significant years of experience in the heavy-duty truck and commercial vehicle services industries. Formerly, Costa served as area vice president for Idealease Inc. as corporate marketing manager for Isuzu Motors America; as director of marketing for Rollins Truck Leasing; and as director of sales and marketing, Western U.S., for McDonnell-Douglas Truck Services. Costa began his career with Ryder Systems Inc.

Currently a resident of Kennesaw, Ga., Costa will relocate and establish new Western area offices in southern Nevada.
