AmeriQuest Transportation Services, a North American provider of fleet management services, has signed an agreement with spend management solutions provider Ariba Inc. AmeriQuest says it selected Ariba’s on-demand spend management solutions as the platform for an aggressive strategy to generate savings and process efficiencies that increase its competitive advantage.

Under the terms of its agreement with Ariba, AmeriQuest will implement a combination of Ariba Spend Visibility, Ariba Sourcing and Ariba Contract Management On-Demand. Leveraging Ariba Spend Visibility, AmeriQuest says it can gain a clear and comprehensive view into its spend across categories and identify opportunities for savings. Using Ariba Sourcing, these savings can be driven to the bottom line, according to AmeriQuest, and with Ariba Contract Management, the company says it can create and manage contracts across categories and functions — including sales, marketing, real estate, legal, procurement and IT — and drive compliance with them.
