TeleNav nabs Frost & Sullivan award

TeleNav Inc., the first company to launch a GPS navigation system on cell phones in the U.S., announced that global growth consulting company Frost & Sullivan honored its mobile resource management (MRM) service, TeleNav Track, with the 2008 North American Mobility Award for Best MRM Solution on a Handheld Device.

The research organization selected TeleNav Track due to its highly usable, innovative and effective set of MRM features and capabilities which have driven returns on investment for thousands of organizations, the company said. Frost & Sullivan noted the solution as the market leader, with the ability to increase average revenue per user and intensify subscriber loyalty for wireless carriers. TeleNav was the first company to launch a GPS navigation system and full-color 3D moving maps on a mobile phone in the U.S., as well as the initial provider of a handheld MRM solution with GPS navigation. TeleNav Track is the Company’s flagship MRM service, enabling organizations to monitor and oversee their mobile workers and fleet through GPS tracking, information reporting and timesheet management. It also helps increase overall performance and efficiency through additional capabilities, including GPS navigation and wireless forms, dispatching and barcode scanning.
