Karmak Inc. recently named John Lebel, a 26-year veteran of the company, as chief technology officer. Lebel’s new position will expand his duties to include setting the technology direction for all Karmak products and overseeing the information technology operations of Karmak’s offices in Carlinville, Ill., and Springfield, Mo.

“John brings a significant contribution to the Karmak executive team,” says Bill Healy, president and chief executive officer of Karmak. “His significant background in technology and extensive industry experience makes his new role as chief technology officer a natural transition.”

Lebel began his career at Karmak in 1982 and has been the director of research and design since 2002. He has performed functions in virtually every aspect of the business, including design and development, installations, training and customer service. He was promoted to manager of research and development in 1996, which led to his appointment to director of research and design.
