Cummins Filtration has extended its series of Fleetguard standard off-highway exhaust products to include engines from 8 to 50 horsepower. The company says the product provides complete system solutions with three muffler body diameters and a broad range of accessories like screen-type spark arresters, packed resonators, clamps and more. Typical applications for these standard exhaust products are portable generators, compressors, industrial, small commercial vehicles and construction equipment.

The new product offering complements the currently available larger off-highway standard muffler series, which covers exhaust flows up to 2750 CFM (78 M3/min) and provides Industrial Grade (12-18 dBA sound reduction) silencing ratings. The mufflers are available in two options: (1) Residential Grade for 18-25 dBA sound reduction; and (2) Critical Grade for 25-35 dBA sound reduction silencing ratings. The Critical Grade mufflers contain an integral packed resonator for improved sound reduction and enhanced sound quality, according to the company; in addition, many inlet-outlet configurations are available, making the mufflers easy to adapt to most applications.
