Since its Jan. 1 launch, the beta test for J.J. Keller’s FleetMentor has attracted more than 5,000 participants, the company says. As part of the beta test, participants have free, unlimited access to the service through June and are asked to provide occasional feedback to aid in further development of the service.

“We’re excited that FleetMentor has garnered this level of participation so early in the beta test,” says Rustin Keller, corporate Internet products manager for Neenah, Wis.-based J.J. Keller. “Our goal is to have a good cross-section of carriers represented who are able to provide us with feedback to further develop the service to meet their needs.”

As one of J.J. Keller’s newest transportation solutions, FleetMentor is designed to provide transportation professionals with more than 60 interactive tools to more effectively manage three areas of fleet management: operations, personnel and safety. FleetMentor is the only service available that provides the tools and resources to manage all three areas of a transport operation, according to the company:

  • The Operations area provides fleet managers with tools to make better business decisions. Tools in this area range from identifying fixed and variable costs to determine optimal bill rates, to tracking accident claims and managing insurance policies;
  • The Personnel area provides features to aid in the management of drivers and other operations personnel, with tools for creating competitive salary and pay packages, improving driver retention and managing Department of Transportation-required drug and alcohol testing processes; and
  • The Safety area provides help with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and DOT recordkeeping requirements, compliance audits and hazardous materials management.
  • With more than three months left in the beta test, transportation professionals still can register to participate by clicking here.
