The CEI Group announced that it has added an administrator note entry capability to DriverCare Risk Manager, its online fleet risk management service. CEI also announced that it has been selected by AmeriFleet Transportation, a vehicle transport company based in Alpharetta, Ga., for collision management and driver safety services.

To enter or view a DriverCare Risk Manager note, authorized users just have to click the “Driver Notes” button on the toolbar in any driver’s detail page. According to the company, the enhancement enables administrators to document supplemental critical events by entering notes in any driver’s electronic file that they are authorized to access, including:

  • Explanations for discarding or changing events in a driver’s records;
  • Explanations for entering additional events on a driver’s records;
  • Conversations with problem drivers;
  • Training prescribed beyond the norms built into DriverCare protocols; and
  • Management comments following “drive-alongs.”
  • “This capability makes it possible for administrators to enter critical commentary and explanations that go beyond the automated data processing built into DriverCare Risk Manager,” says Ed Corbally, director of safety and risk services for Trevose, Pa.-based CEI.

    AmeriFleet provides professional driveaway and truck carrier transportation services to the corporate fleet and vehicle leasing industry in all 50 states. AmeriFleet employs some 600 drivers, most of whom drive customers’ cars and trucks for delivery at customer-designated locations.

    Kenneth Rees, CEI sales director for truck fleet services, says AmeriFleet will use CEI’s services for its own fleet and also will offer them to its customers. CEI offers its services to heavy-duty truck fleets under the TruckGuardian service mark.
