Exel Transportation Services — an operating unit of Exel, a North American provider of supply chain management and a Deutsche Post World Net company — has received the Platinum Award for Carrier Excellence from Frito-Lay. The Platinum Award is presented to Frito-Lay road carriers that achieve exceptional performance in the areas of customer service, job knowledge and resource management.
ETS provides a variety of transportation services to Frito-Lay, including rail management, inbound/outbound tracking services, intermodal services and in-plant sourcing. ETS says it achieved a perfect score in numerous categories, including exceeding on-time service, exhibiting a strong sense of urgency and maintaining a strong partnership with Frito-Lay.
