The Environmental Protection Agency recently announced that it expects to have about $14.8 million available for the State Clean Diesel Grant Program during the current fiscal year.
The program, which was authorized by the Energy Policy Act of 2005, allows states to provide grants or loans to diesel engine operators to retrofit anti-idling technologies that have been verified or certified by EPA or the California Air Resources Board.
