U.K.-based TruckProtect, a company that specializes in fuel theft deterrent products, will make its U.S. debut at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., set for March 27-29. Already established in the European market with 50,000 units sold in two years, TruckProtect now outfits smaller vehicles in addition to heavy commercial trucks and says it has expanded its distribution to North America due to high U.S. demand.

“As diesel prices in the Unites States increase, so does the occurrence of fuel theft,” says Russell Fowler, founder and chief executive officer of TruckProtect. “With the launch of our new North American division, U.S. trucking companies will be able to safeguard their vehicles against this increasing risk.”

A leader in TruckProtect’s fuel theft deterrent products is Neck-It, a fuel anti-siphoning device. Neck-It is designed to fit easily into most fuel tank necks and prevent fuel theft to the top of the tank. It allows super-high-speed fuel filling without splashback or fuel welling, the company says.

TruckProtect also will launch EcoFuelKleanz, a chemical-free diesel fuel cleanser designed to eliminate fuel sludge. The maintenance-free easy-to-fit device improves the life of filters, injectors and engines while reducing emissions, TruckProtect says. EcoFuelKleanz fits diesel engines and storage tanks of all types, including pickups, utility vehicles, buses, trucks, machinery, generators and fuel storage tanks, according to the company.

TruckProtect says its North American division will be headed by Chris Helm, an international business expert who has extensive experience in the market. For more information, go to www.truckprotect.com.
