ALK Technologies appoints Fiander, Crosson VPs/PC*Miler

ALK Technologies — a developer of GPS navigation, routing, mileage and mapping software for businesses and consumers — on Friday, March 21, announced two senior executive appointments: Craig Fiander has been named vice president of marketing for PC*Miler, and Len Crosson has been named vice president of sales for PC*Miler.

Fiander, formerly senior director of marketing, has been with ALK for 15 years. Crosson comes to ALK with two decades of experience in high-level sales management in the wireless and transportation industries.

“I’m very pleased to announce these appointments,” says Alain Kornhauser, founder and chairman of Princeton, N.J.-based ALK Technologies. “Craig and Len have demonstrated the talent and skill needed to bring ALK’s evolving technologies to bear on the needs of our transportation and logistics customers. Going forward, they will help ALK customers achieve their most ambitious business visions and grow ALK accordingly.”

Fiander has held various positions at ALK Technologies, including product manager for numerous business software solutions. Most recently, Fiander has overseen global marketing efforts for the company’s PC*Miler commercial transportation software solutions and CoPilot Truck, a truck-specific GPS navigation solution. He has led the branding of PC*Miler during his 15-year career.

Crosson began his career in transportation and third-party logistics, spending more than a decade with Ryder Systems Inc., where he worked in national sales and business development. In 2000, Crosson joined Nextel, helping create and lead the the company’s transportation and distribution programs. He went on to become area vice president of strategic national account sales for both wireline and wireless businesses after the company became Sprint Nextel.
