DC Power Solutions has announced that its range of anti-idling cooling and power solutions technology has qualified them as an affiliate in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay Transport Partnership, a public-private partnership that assists the trucking industry with conserving fuel and reducing emissions.
DC Power Solutions products include the 12- and 24-volt DC Flex-Cool split unit air conditioner and the DC Top-Cool rooftop air conditioner. The company says these air conditioners can be powered by the vehicle’s starting batteries, auxiliary batteries or the DC Auxiliary Power System, all without running the engine.
The DC Auxiliary Power System provides power for eight to 10 hours cooling and any AC or DC hotel load, and includes a shorepower outlet.
