Brown Transfer Co. recently announced its purchase of Eastern Plains Express, based in Denver; terms were not announced. Brown Transfer, based in Kearney, Neb., says the addition of Eastern Plains Express will expand its service and coverage area out of its Denver terminal.

Brown Transfer currently has terminals located throughout Nebraska, Colorado and Missouri. The company says its Omaha, Denver and Kansas City facilities enable it to expand services coast to coast through a network of transportation partners, and that the additional routes open opportunities for customers by providing more delivery points throughout Denver, Eastern Colorado and parts of Nebraska.

“The addition of Eastern Plains Express is a perfect fit for us,” says Butch Brown, president of Brown Transfer. “This expansion will allow us to service our existing and new customers with more options for freight delivery.”
