Old Dominion Freight Line announced a service center relocation to Augusta, Ga. The 22-door facility, located on a four-acre site at 725 Laney Walker Blvd. Ext., will begin operations under the leadership of Mike Atwood, manager of sales and service.

“The opening of the larger, more centrally located Augusta service center will help to expedite the flow of freight and enhance the level of service we provide to our existing customer base in northeastern Georgia and southwestern South Carolina,” says L.B. Clayton, vice president of ODFL’s Midsouth region. “Old Dominion will be positioned to gain market share in points currently being served.”

ODFL is a Thomasville, N.C.-based less-than-truckload carrier.
