During an awards ceremony in Louisville, Ky., at the Mid-America Trucking Show, Pressure Systems International presented Great Dane Trailers with its 2007 Customer Excellence Award. Great Dane was chosen by PSI for its contribution in making the Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI the most widely used tire inflation system spec for their trailers.
This is the second year in a row for Great Dane to win the award. “To have a company with the quality reputation of Great Dane selecting MTIS as a preferred spec for their trailers is an outstanding achievement for us, and we are confident this relationship brings benefits to them as well,” says Frank Sonzala, executive vice president of San Antonio-based PSI.
Because of promotions that began in 2006, MTIS by PSI has garnered nearly 30 percent of all new Great Dane trailers produced in 2007. Great Dane also has put programs in place for its fleet customers that make MTIS specification on new trailers attractive. Retrofit kits and replacement parts also are offered through its dealership network.
“The factory and sales support provided by PSI has made this an easy product to install and sell,” says Chris Hammond, vice president of dealer sales and operations for Savannah, Ga.-based Great Dane. “They are a quality company, and they have the kind of people we enjoy partnering with.”
