Advantage PressurePro, developer and marketers of the PressurePro tire pressure monitoring systems, says it encourages drivers of all types of vehicles to practice tire maintenance as a regular routine, and publicly supports the Rubber Manufacturers Association’s seventh annual National Tire Safety Week, set for April 20-26.

The event is an initiative of RMA’s “Be Smart – Play Your PART” program, a year-round effort designed to help drivers learn steps they can take to ensure that their tires are in good working condition. For the duration of the week, tire manufacturers and retailers nationwide will work to educate motorists about proper tire care and maintenance.

In support of RMA’s event and the awareness it brings to drivers concerning the importance of proper tire care — including the key factor of proper tire pressure — Advantage PressurePro is encouraging all PressurePro distributors and dealers to actively support this event.

“Anytime we can support the awareness and significance of proper tire care and the importance of proper tire pressure, we will do so enthusiastically,” says Vanessa Zaroor, director of marketing for Harrisonville, Mo.-based PressurePro. “In the United States alone, over 70 percent of blowouts and over 2 billion gallons of wasted fuel is attributed to low tire pressure. Further, one of three tires going into landfills today are prematurely worn due to low tire pressure, and the Department of Transportation estimates that tires low on pressure are emitting an unnecessary 57.5 billion pounds of carbon-dioxide pollutants each year. PressurePro strongly supports RMA and their National Tire Safety Week, and will continue to do so over the years.”
