The Office of Inspector General is undertaking an audit of the Department of Transportation’s Enterprise Services Center.

The objectives of the audit are to determine whether (1) management’s description fairly presents the controls actually placed in operation, (2) controls are suitably designed, and (3) controls are operating effectively.

DOT-OIG says the audit will enable all financial statement auditors for DOT and its client agencies to use the ESC Statement on Auditing Standard (SAS) 70 review results for their FY 2008 financial statement audits.
