ALK to host annual symposium April 14-16

ALK Technologies — developers of PC*Miler routing, mileage and mapping software — will host its fourth annual symposium Monday, April 14-Wednesday, April 16, at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village in Princeton, N.J.

The event is for senior-level executives in the transportation and logistics field, including motor carriers, shippers and logistics providers of technology for tracking, communications and automation. They will discuss emerging issues that drive technology development.

Based on previous demand, and new for this year, ALK will be a highlighting its transportation technology solutions, including PC*Miler|Tolls and CoPilot Truck, a GPS truck-specific navigation system. Participants will gain insights into how technologies can apply to their own operations and how to implement those technologies for the greatest benefit.

Dr. Alain Kornhauser of Princeton University, founder and chairman of ALK Technologies, will deliver the “Reality-Based Logistics” keynote address. Michael Bodden, chief technology officer, will offer an overview of ALK map data and development roadmaps. Craig Fiander, vice president of marketing, will host the event and sum up the sessions with closing remarks.

The event will feature presentations from technology providers, industry editors and senior transportation executives from companies such as Cowan Systems, Driver Tech, Fil-Mor Express, Innovative Computing Corp., PeopleNet, Qualcomm, SAP, SMC3, TMW Systems, U.S. Xpress, Xata and others.
