Prophesy adds Sprint availability to TrackerSeries software

Prophesy says it has expanded its GPS Tracking and Mobile Communications services to include coverage within the Sprint network. This network uses CDMA technology, allowing seamless voice and data roaming to other major CDMA networks such as Alltel and Verizon, enlarging the coverage area, according to the company.

Prophesy TrackerSeries runs on the Sprint/Sanyo 7050 model handset. The Sanyo 7050 was chosen for its rugged design, GPS capability and field reliability, the company says. Other handset models will be added as they become available from Sprint.

Other recent additions to Prophesy TrackerSeries, according the company, include:

  • Integration with Prophesy Fuel Management Software, which allows users to send the best truckstop fuel prices along each route directly to the driver’s mobile device;
  • Auto-completion of stops and loads (Geofencing);
  • Automated fuel tax reporting; and
  • Mapping technology provided by ESRI, including new support for Canada and Mexico.
  • Prophesy says TrackerSeries software also integrates with Qualcomm and PeopleNet mobile Communications solutions. For more information on Prophesy’s GPS Tracking and TrackerSeries, e-mail [email protected] or call (800) 776-6706.
