Great Dane Trailers chooses Haldex Gold Seal actuators

Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems announced that Great Dane Trailers has selected Haldex Gold Seal actuators as a standard product offering on its trailers. Haldex says its Gold Seal actuators assure lower operating cost and deliver long-lasting durability, performance and reliability for outstanding value, mile after trouble-free mile.

Haldex says it engineers all of the materials to strict standards utilizing specially designed components, including a patented power spring that maximizes output force and extends the life of the actuator. Haldex Gold Seal actuator features, according to the Kansas City, Mo.-based company, include:

  • Premium piloted diaphragm for straight spring cycling and longer diaphragm life;
  • Caging tool with ACME threads that makes caging quick, convenient and easy;
  • Double O-Ring center seal and unique wear rings that extend service life and protect against air leakage between chambers;
  • Orbital riveted adapter push rod discs that are attached permanently for durability;
  • Patented Orange Alert Stroke Indicator that is visible when brakes are out of adjustment;
  • Zinc-plated push rod for added corrosion protection; and
  • Special heat-treated power spring, which produces maximum output force and extended life, and is powder-coated for protection.
