Schneider Logistics announced that it has expanded its brokerage services with the opening of a new regional logistics center in Toronto, Ontario, a major transportation hub. This new addition is Schneider’s first RLC outside the United States.

“Our regional logistics centers in the United States have had great success in becoming one-stop shops that connect our customers with any mode of transportation and effectively meet their transportation needs, whether they are focused on cost, transit time or both,” says Mitch Weckop, general manager of transportation for Green Bay, Wis.-based Schneider Logistics. “Many of our U.S.-based customers also ship in Canada, so adding an RLC in Toronto was a logical next step in helping provide them with top-quality service abroad.”

Schneider Logistics began to expand its brokerage capabilities in 2005 with the opening of its original RLC in Evanston, Ill. This area of the business since has grown to include four more logistics centers located in Atlanta, Chicago (formerly Evanston), Dallas and Reno, Nev., and a network of more than 10,000 third-party carriers.
