Logistics management expert NLM says it has further enhanced its capabilities to include intra-Mexico shipment management services for critical and dynamic shipments. NLM says the new service manages time-critical and time-sensitive ground freight originating and ending within Mexico, and augments its existing cross-border portfolio, including its through-service, air freight and border consolidation offerings.

The new intra-Mexico service is designed not only to allow customers to obtain true door-to-door visibility of their shipments, but also to report continuity, which allows them to closely monitor transportation spend. The company says customers also are able to utilize NLM’s Supply Chain Data Intelligence, a service inherent to the NLM 24/7 AllWays On Command Center. With this service, customers are able to access shipping data and reports that detail supply chain performance, offering increased visibility that is not typically accessible with cross-border shipping, according to NLM.

NLM says its intra-Mexico shipment management service for critical and dynamic shipments is yet another example of how the company is committed to continuously setting industry standards for service. “As customers increasingly demand true door-to-door visibility for all of their cross-border shipments, we want to ensure that we are offering the capabilities that allow them to seamlessly manage those shipments,” says Greg Humes, president of Detroit-based NLM. “The development of the intra-Mexico shipment management service for critical and dynamic shipments was a natural next step in evolving our current offerings.”

NLM says it applied its award-winning technology and the expertise of its logistics specialists to develop the new service, which helps identify and assess any potential conflicts in the shipment process, notify the customer and develop solutions in anticipation of their needs.
