Based on its recent analysis of the commercial vehicle telematics market, Frost & Sullivan recently recognized PeopleNet Communications Corp. with the 2007 North American Regional Fleet Telematics Growth Strategy Leadership of the Year Award.

According to Frost & Sullivan, PeopleNet has developed and executed customer-focused growth strategies that have enabled it to achieve strong subscriber and revenue growth rates over the 2004-2007 period, resulting in impressive market share and mind-share growth rates. Frost & Sullivan says PeopleNet’s growth strategies — which target private, for-hire, food distribution, tanker, dedicated and less-than-truckload fleets — already have delivered impressive results.

“PeopleNet serves both the long-haul and the regional-fleet telematics market segments, where there are established and new competitors within the markets,” says Sandeep Kar, program manager of heavy truck technologies at Frost & Sullivan. “The company’s success in making inroads into these markets and in achieving healthy internal growth highlights PeopleNet’s agility and consistency in developing product, technology and customer service strategies that offer advanced telematics solutions to fleets that are innovative, highly customizable and competitively priced, and that offer a quantifiable return on investment.”
