Flynn Transportation has announced that it has joined and supports the Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay Transport Partner program. SmartWay is a voluntary program that recognizes partners for setting and achieving greenhouse gas and emissions reductions goals in freight transport. The program allows Flynn to provide its carrier base a tangible, highly beneficial way to improve their business operations and make a difference for the public good.

Each SmartWay Truck Carrier and Logistics Company Partner has a fuel efficiency/environmental performance score. Flynn Transportation says it has the top score of 1.25, which represents outstanding environmental performance. This score signifies that the Charlotte, N.C.-based company is already utilizing most of the commercially available fuel-saving strategies and is actively evaluating the latest emerging technologies.
