TransCore has received the Transportation Intermediaries Association’s first membership referral award. This recognition was the result of securing the most new members for the TIA by regular and associate members of the organization. The award was presented to the TransCore team at the 2008 TIA 30th annual Convention and Trade Show in Washington, D.C.

“We are honored to be the inaugural recipient of this prestigious award,” says Don Thornton, senior vice president of enterprise sales for TransCore’s 3sixty Transportation Solutions Group. “New members are critical to the vitality of any professional organization, and contributing to this important endeavor gives us a tremendous sense of pride.”

TransCore has been a member of the TIA for more than 25 years, and the Portland, Ore.-based company says this recognition further demonstrates its commitment to the industry as a whole, as well as the association. TransCore’s Robert Hughes, Pat Leahy and Steve Blair all were instrumental in securing both the referrals and new members.
