In an effort to work more closely with its trucking industry counterparts to advance the interests of the trucking industry, New Jersey-based logistics provider Tucker Company has joined the American Trucking Associations.
“We’re proud to be a member of the ATA,” says Jeffrey Tucker, chief executive officer. “Today our industry is being confronted with more and more issues and policy-making matters that need to be addressed. The ATA enables us to deal with shared visions and goals.” Tucker says the industry must speak with a united voice to address such critical issues as increasing infrastructure investment, opposing fuel surcharge legislation and improving trucking productivity.
ATA President and CEO Bill Graves welcomed Tucker Company’s decision to join the ranks of trucking leaders, saying that logistics providers have an important role to play in the reliable movement of freight.
Tucker Company is a Cherry Hill, N.J.-based firm established in 1961 that provides a complete range of logistics services for commercial shippers throughout North America, including freight transportation management for truckload and less-than-truckload freight, intermodal, expedited and air freight. Jeffrey Tucker is an active board member of the National Industrial Transportation League, Truckload Carriers Association and Transportation Intermediaries Association.
