Bay & Bay Transportation announced Monday, June 16, that it will open a new terminal in Fargo, N.D., to keep pace with company growth. The company says the terminal, set to open July 1, will provide logistics, brokerage and warehouse services, with ample parking space for tractors and trailers. The Fargo facility will be Bay & Bay’s second out-of-state terminal; the company opened a terminal in Neenah, Wis., in March 2006.

“We want to make our services more closely available to our existing customers in the Red River Valley area and position ourselves to cultivate new business in the future,” says Sam Anderson, president of Minneapolis-based Bay & Bay. The company already has launched an advertising campaign to recruit experienced truck drivers in the Fargo area, Anderson says.

Bay & Bay recently hired Fargo native Jade Nelson as west regional sales manager, and he also will be responsible for overseeing Fargo terminal operations. Prior to joining Bay & Bay, Nelson spent 15 years in numerous roles at a Fargo transportation services company.
