Cadec Global, a provider of advanced fleet management solutions, has introduced a new version of DeliveryTracker, which it describes as a highly configurable mobile application that extends a company’s supply chain to the point of delivery. DeliveryTracker 2.0 is an optional software component to Cadec’s fleet management systems.

DeliveryTracker capabilities, according to the company, include barcode scanning, full-detail invoice/manifest, payment/credit handling, electronic signature capture and in-cab printing. DeliveryTracker is designed to enable fleets to collect data using the industry’s broadest range of handheld devices, including those from Honeywell/Handheld Products, Intermec and Motorola/Symbol.

Data is conveyed as an XML file from the handheld to the Cadec On-Board Computer (OBC), and then relayed via Wi-Fi or cellular network back to the fleet’s central office, where it can be integrated with enterprise applications such as Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. As a provider of turnkey delivery tracking, Cadec says that it can resell the handheld devices as part of a fully integrated paperless delivery system.

“DeliveryTracker is our most popular add-on module – the data it captures is essential to running a customer-oriented transportation business,” said Michael Baney, chief executive officer of Manchester, N.H.-based Cadec. “Now with our ability to support all the leading handhelds and provide turnkey solutions where needed, we can help customers accelerate their fleet management rollouts and achieve faster return on their technology investments.”

Cadec’s new version of DeliveryTracker is available immediately. Existing customers on maintenance can upgrade at any time by contacting their Cadec account representative. For more information, go to www.cadec.com.
