SkyBitz announces five new customers

SkyBitz, a mobile asset tracking and information management service provider, announced the addition of five customers that are deploying its tracking solutions. More than 550 fleets rely on the SkyBitz GLS technology to track their assets.

The following companies recently selected SkyBitz over the competition:

  • Danny Herman Trucking Inc., headquartered in Mountain City, Tenn., which provides transportation services throughout the U.S. and Mexico, is installing the SkyBitz GLS 210 tracking technology in 700 trailers.
  • FirstExpress, based in Nashville, Tenn., specializes in providing just-in-time transportation to customers with time-sensitive shipping requirements throughout North America. The company is adding SkyBitz mobile units to more than 400 trailers in the company’s fleet.
  • Hoffman Transportation, based in Channahon, Ill., specializes in the transloading and transportation of plastics, liquids and granular products throughout the U.S. and Canada. The company is installing SkyBitz technology in more than 150 trailers.
  • Lawrence Transportation Systems is affiliated with United Van Lines in the household moving and truckload freight industries. Roanoke, Va.-based Lawrence Transportation Systems is investing in SkyBitz asset tracking for its 500-trailer fleet.
  • Palmetto State Transportation, headquartered in Greenville, S.C., is a less-than-truckload, truckload and expedited service carrier. The addition of SkyBitz GLS 210 units in 130 trailers will provide customers with instant updates on shipment status.
