U.S. Xpress Enterprises recently announced the appointment of industry veteran Thomas Glaser to the position of president of Arnold Transportation Services. Glaser, who will join the company on July 14, will assume day-to-day operating responsibility for Arnold Transportation on Aug. 2.

“We are very pleased to have such a strong leader join our management team,” says Patrick Quinn, co-chairman of Chattanooga, Tenn.-based U.S. Express Enterprises. “His prior experiences will serve him well as we pursue our goal of making Arnold Transportation a
world-class regional carrier.”

Glaser most recently was president and chief operating officer for Celadon. Prior to that, he had senior operations and sales positions for Contract Freighters.

“Tom has excelled by getting each of his prior organizations to function as a well-disciplined team,” says Max Fuller, U.S. Express Enterprises co-chairman. “We look forward to his valuable input and proven execution abilities as we continue to carry out the current operating plan at Arnold.”
