XTRA Lease announced Thursday, July 10, that it has added a third Chicago-area branch offering trailer rentals and leases with the opening of a new location in Channahon, near Joliet. XTRA Lease has two other Chicago-area branches, located in Des Plaines and south Chicago.
The new facility — situated just south of the intersection of Interstates 55 and 80 — will carry a wide variety of trailer equipment, including dry vans, flatbeds, storage trailers, refrigerated trailers and specialty equipment. The site also has an inventory of used trailers available for sale.
“We’re pleased to strengthen our presence in the Chicago area,” says Mark Backman, regional vice president for St. Louis-based XTRA Lease. “With three branches in the vicinity, we’re much better positioned to serve the local market, providing many companies with a more convenient outlet to pick up and drop off rental and leased trailers.”
The new facility is located near one of the area’s strong transportation and distribution center corridors. “Our new site makes it easier for nearby companies to minimize drive time, avoid heavily-congested Chicago traffic and save fuel to reach us,” Backman says.
