Leo Flack, a professional truck driver for A. Duie Pyle, was named Grand Champion of the 2008 Pennsylvania Truck Driving Championships. Flack – the top-scoring competitor in the championship held in Morgantown, Pa. – joined fellow A. Duie Pyle teammates Jason Snyder and Bill Jones to bring home the Pennsylvania Small Team Trophy at the competition.

The Pennsylvania Truck Driving Championships were created to recognize the skill, knowledge and personality of the state’s top truck drivers, who compete in a variety of classes, depending on the size of the fleet and the size and type of vehicle driven. “We’re very proud of the hard work and dedication of the three professionals – Leo, Jason, and Bill – who made up the A. Duie Pyle team,” says Peter Dannecker, director of loss prevention for West Chester, Pa.-based A. Duie Pyle. “Likewise, we’re particularly proud of Leo, who was so deserving of his Grand Champion award.”

This is not the first time Flack has won first place in the individual Pennsylvania state championship categories, but it is the first time he won the title of Grand Champion, the driver who scores highest overall in the written exam, the pre-trip inspection and the driving skills course. Individually, Flack also won the championship for 4-axle vehicle class and for the written exam high score. He will represent the state of Pennsylvania in the National Truck Driving Championship on Aug. 19 in Houston.
