Continental Tire North America announced more than $60 million in new investments for its facility in Mount Vernon, Ill., over the next three years. The investments will expand Continental’s commercial vehicle tire operation, as well as its passenger and light truck operation. The latest expansion will bring Continental’s total investments at Mount Vernon to more than $220 million since 2006.
About $20 million of the $60 million will be invested the CVT operations to provide new and updated machinery and tooling to accommodate additional product brought in from Europe.
