Phillips Industries says it has improved the packaging for spools of its primary wire for easier identification. The new see-through package design covers 12-gauge to 20-gauge primary wire and is available in 11 different colors for use in all 4-way, 6-way and 7-way connector configurations.

The new transparent packaging shows the color-coded concentric jacketing, and each package is marked clearly with the gauge size, according to the Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based company.

Phillips says its primary wire is resistant to acids, greases, oils, fuels and similar compounds that can create havoc on an electrical system. With soft annealed copper conductors, the abrasive-resistant primary wire remains flexible and is suitable for all vocational and over-the-road operations, according to the company.
