Prophesy Dispatch and TrackerSeries mobile communications solutions now work in tandem with the TransCore GlobalWave satellite trailer-tracking device, the companies announced. Prophesy has teamed up with TransCore to deliver this new functionality in an ongoing effort to broaden available mobile technology options for their users, the companies say.

Prophesy Dispatch automatically imports GPS data from the GlobalWave devices and updates the trailer data throughout the system, which results in greater accuracy and reliability when managing and assigning trailers on loads, according to the company; in addition, users are allowed to view various data about a trailer such as its current geographical location and length of time at that location, and several reports are available to display and print this data.

Trailer data also can be viewed at the Prophesy Tracker website using any PC with an Internet connection, the company says; the Prophesy Tracker website contains a host of reports and maps that allow users to maintain complete visibility over a trailer’s activity.

“The team at Prophesy selected the GlobalWave system because of its reliability, low profile, ease of installation and extreme durability,” says Edward J. Forman, president of Bloomfield, Conn.-based Prophesy. “TransCore is also known for a high level of quality and customer service, which allow us to confidently recommend their products to our valued customers.”

On the road, the GlobalWave hardware easily attaches to the surface of a trailer using an ultrastrong self-adhesive mounting system, the company says; once attached, the device is virtually maintenance-free with a battery life of five to seven years and a durable design meant to handle the most rigorous conditions of the open road.
